Cage the Elephant; great show; cool band!
Our 13 yr old daughter loved the show. We (parents) enjoyed it too, great tunes; band really connected with the crowd; only complaint; volume was way too loud and sometimes interfered with enjoyment of the music. Didn't plan ahead with earplugs, unfortunately. We happened to meet the band while at a local restaurant just before the show. They were friendly and happily allowed us to take photos. Very sweet! Impressed with the venue; clean, well-supervised, plenty of security, crowd well-behaved; we were a little anxious before the show about letting our daughter attend this without us; we unexpectedly received free tickets and so we attended, but did not stay with our daughter and her friends. I would let her attend other shows at this venue with friends, and without immediate adult supervision.
Not a Fillmore Fan
Oversold show. Too many people crammed into taped off zones you must be in to stand still and watch the show. There are support beams throughout the building that obstruct the view of the stage. I saw very little of a show I paid too much for. Drinks are outrageously expensive and there are more bars areas than areas to stand. This was my first event at the Fillmore and probably my last. Expensive tickets. Very difficult to find a good view of the stage. Entirely too many people. I felt like cattle being herded into a corral.
The bands sounded great. Venue was poor.
